Cutting metal plates into various shapes and sizes is one of the first steps at our workshop for fabrication. Based on the technical drawings and programs prepared by our detail engineers, our technicians utilize different cutting processes to cut through all kinds of metals, from Carbon Steel to Stainless Steel, and from thin plates to thick ones.

Oxy-fuel cutting is suitable for thick materials while CNC plasma cutting, a computer-controlled method, is perfect for cutting metal plates in angled or curved shapes with precision, high speed and flexibility.

Rolling and bending

With our large sheet rolling mills, we are able to roll thick sheet materials (even to conical shape).

Rolling cones

Cones are important parts in the fabrication of Pressure Vessels, however, the conical shape is the hardest shape to make. From making a drawing, cutting the plate, rolling, welding, to calibration, it all requires special machine settings and real craftsmanship.

At VDL KTI we are equipped and specialized to roll large and thick plates into perfect cones.
