VDL KTI is proud to take our exciting first steps into the nuclear industry, contributing to the future of healthcare and scientific innovation. With our expertise in high-precision engineering and complex fabrication, we support the development of next-generation nuclear infrastructure.
One of our flagship projects is our collaboration on the PALLAS-reactor in Petten, the Netherlands. This state-of-the-art medical isotopes reactor will replace the aging High Flux Reactor (HFR) and is set to play a vital role in global healthcare. Once operational, PALLAS will produce life-saving medical isotopes used in diagnostics, therapy, and nuclear medical research—helping millions of people for the next 50 years.
As a proud contributor to the PALLAS project, VDL KTI is responsible for designing and manufacturing essential components for this nuclear facility. Through this collaboration, we strengthen our commitment to shaping the future with precision, innovation, and purpose.
For PALLAS, our expert team is building key nuclear infrastructure, including:
- Decay tanks
- Heavy water storage tanks
- Reactor pools, service pools, isolation gates, and transfer canals
These components are engineered and manufactured using high-grade stainless steel, ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and long-term performance.
